2022

CAIPA Care is officially accredited by CMS in recognition for its Diabetes Self-Management Education and Support (DSMES) program from 2022 to 2026, the first program culturally and linguistically tailored for Chinese American patients in NYS. 

AAACO Is Ranked the Highest Quality Score Among Metro New York ACOs

2020

CAIPA Care received the innovator designation from NYS DOH. There are only four designations in NYS. CAIPA Care is the first and only Asian-American IPA to receive this prestigious status.

2019

Founded UNICO IPA, an extension of CAIPA MSO, Inc. that specializes in contracting, credentialing, payor negotiation, practice transformation, quality, risk adjustment, and more.

2018
Formed CAIPA MSO with Point-of-Care (PoC) to improve population health. Created the Asian Contact Center to perform patient outreach as well as to answer physician service needs.
 
2016

NYS DOH issued a Certificate of Authority to CAIPA Care LLC, the only physician-owned Medicaid Accountable Care Organization (ACO) in Downstate NY. It has been rated #1 in quality year after year since 2018.

2012

Organized and endorsed the formation of Asian American Accountable Care Organization, LLC (AAACO), a physician-led Medicare ACO. 

2008
Established CAIPA Foundation to promote community service programs and health awareness. 
1996

CPP gained the NYS Department of Health’s (NYS DOH) consent to become an independent practice association and was renamed the Chinese American IPA, Inc. (CAIPA).

1994

The beginning; CAIPA was previously known as the Chinese Physician Partnership (CPP).
